Dale Laine brings over 20 years of valuable political insight and strategic communications consulting experience to client challenges and business objectives.
Prior to the formation of Laine Strategy Group, he was a managing director of Public Strategies, Inc., where he worked as a hands-on strategist for numerous Fortune 500 companies. His work has included significant legislative and regulatory campaign efforts as well as a variety of media and crisis communications victories. His current work includes serving as President of the Texas Cable Association.
Laine served then Governor George W. Bush as a member of the Governor's senior leadership, first as deputy chief of staff, then as campaign manager for the Governor's successful 1998 reelection. Laine was also tapped as executive director of the 1999 inauguration of Governor Bush and Lieutenant Governor Rick Perry.
Laine worked as deputy campaign manager for U.S. Senator Phil Gramm's presidential campaign, directing activities for eleven state campaign organizations. He also served as regional director on Gramm's U.S. Senate staff for six years.
Additionally, Laine worked for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison as the first state director of her five Texas based U.S. Senate offices, as well as the campaign manager of her winning 1994 Senate election to her first six year term.
In all, Laine has been involved, directly or indirectly, in nearly 500 press events and legislative issue campaigns for candidates, corporations and associations.
Laine serves on the board of the Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute and has served as a board member of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. His civic activities include service on the board of the Capitol Area Council Board of the Boy Scouts of America in central Texas and active alumni support of the Sunshine Camps of Austin for underprivileged youth in central Texas. He is also a Lieutenant in the Maritime regiment of the Texas State Guard. Laine is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he has served in a variety of positions on boards of the alumni association and the 12th Man Foundation.
